How to import a Minecraft skin
MyPixelSkin exports a flat 64×64 PNG. Keep the Classic or Slim choice with the file, then select the matching model in the destination flow.
Java Edition in Minecraft Launcher
Open the official Minecraft Launcher and choose Minecraft: Java Edition.
Open the Skins tab and choose New Skin.
Give the skin a name, choose Classic/Wide or Slim, then browse to your downloaded PNG.
Choose Save & Use. If the arms look wrong, return to MyPixelSkin and check the model choice.
Bedrock Edition
Bedrock import controls vary by version, device, account and whether the installation accepts a direct PNG. On a supported flow, open Dressing Room, choose the owned or classic skin area, use Import or Choose New Skin, select the PNG, and choose the matching body type. If your installation does not show a direct import option, use its supported skin-pack or marketplace flow instead.
Consoles and every Bedrock device are not promised to support direct PNG import. This guide describes the available flow, not a guarantee for every platform or game version.
Before you import
- Confirm the file is a 64×64 PNG.
- Use Classic for 4-pixel arms or Slim for 3-pixel arms.
- Open the PNG in MyPixelSkin Viewer first and rotate it to check the back and sides.

FAQ
Why does the flat PNG look strange?
A skin PNG is an unwrapped texture. Minecraft maps its regions onto a character model during preview or import.
Can I import this on a console?
Do not assume direct PNG import. Check the import options shown by that installation and use its supported skin-pack or marketplace flow.
What if Java shows black or misplaced arms?
Check that the selected model matches the file: Classic/Wide for 4-pixel arms, Slim for 3-pixel arms.
